
GenEvo - a case study on Deceptive Design
This project was a case study exploring different types of deceptive design patterns companies use to prime users into spending money or giving out their information. I designed and user tested this website to learn about the effectiveness of these design patterns.

My team was assigned to a “company” named GenEvo, a genetic engineering company that made a deal with national security to extract personal information from people. As a front, we had to design a website that promoted services for gene editing, beneficial for cosmetics and ensuring children aren’t born with undesirable traits.
